Prob­a­bly my last mail­box before Christ­mas, I’m hold­ing off on buy­ing any books as I’m expect­ing some from fam­ily (as I’m sure you all are too!) The two books I ordered a month ago from Fish­Pond­World have finally showed up, and I can’t wait to read them.

I’ve been inter­ested in read­ing A Straight Line to My Heart since I read a great inter­view on Carla’s blog dur­ing Aussie Month.

Froi of the Exiles by Melina Marchetta

I loved Finnikin of the Rock, the first book of the Lumatere Chronicles, and Froi was, sur­pris­ingly, my favourite char­ac­ter — so I was too excited when I found out the sec­ond book was going to con­tinue his story. Mar­che­tta is one of my absolute favourite authors and it’s a real treat to be able to sit down with a big fat book that you know is going to be an excel­lent fan­tasy adven­ture. I’m sav­ing this one to snug­gle down with over Christmas.
