Changeling by Philippa Gregory
24th May 2012
I’m quite excited about Philippa Gregory’s first YA novel. As you all know, I love my historicals and have enjoyed her adult novels in the past, so it will be interesting to see an established writer tackle a difference age group. Apparently this isn’t strictly historical either and has a supernatural twist to it!
Check out the cool trailer as well, which I have to admit looks fantastic!

What are you waiting on this week?

I am also really excited to read this novel! Isn’t it Phillipa Gregory’s first YA novel? Can’t wait to see what it has in store for us!!
My WoW
Yep — her first YA. Its quite exciting when an establisher adult writer tries out YA. I’m interested to see how similar or different her writing is when she has a younger audience in mind! (Ignoring the fact that I am not, actually, a YA anymore!)
I had no idea this one had a cover! I really like it. :) I haven’t read her adult books, but mostly because I don’t really like historical… however, I am looking forward to this one! I like supernatural twists.
I was a bit surprised when I first read it would be a mixture of paranormal and historical, but I think its a smart move, given how popular paranormal is right now. I know historical novels tend seem to be a bit hit and miss in YA :)
I didn’t know this one was YA. The male model looks younger, I now notice but that’s about it. XD It sounds very promising, though,a nd I think I should read something from this author.. Any recommendations? Not a big YA fan. :/
Patricia // My WOW
I think her most well known/popular book is probably The Other Boleyn Girl. She has done quite a few books following well known historical figures from the Tudor period :) I haven’t read her other book series.
I’ve only read The Other Boleyn Girl from her, but I found it to be so, so engaging. I’ll definitely look forward to seeing her turn in YA. Hopefully it still has some of that addicting scandal. ;)
Yes! I hope so too lol! Thats often what drew me to her books I must admit! Although after a while, I felt like I was reading a similar story just different characters, so I’m excited to see if this is something fresh and a bit different from her!
Wasn’t sure about this one at first because I am not big on historicals but it does seem to be more than just that and the trailer was real convincing that I may enjoy it. Must check it out for sure! Thank you! My WoW
It definitely sounds like its going to have some paranormal aspects for those who aren’t keen on historicals. I love them though! :D Thanks for stopping by!
Oooh that looks so good! Great pick :)
Here’s my WoW!
Okay, I just have to say: that trailer is really, really awesome! Love it.
This does sound interesting!
