Patrick Ness has very deservedly won the Carnegie Medal, an award given annually to a ‘writer of an outstanding book for children’, for his book Monsters of Men!
I am beyond excited because as you probably know, I consider the Chaos Walking trilogy to be amongst the very best books I have ever read (and I kind of go on about their way to much!) In accepting the award he also slammed the latest library cuts – so he is official, like, a hero.
